SmartConf

SmartConf works where the issuing software ends: at the machine's controller. An agent runs on the machine's computer and talks to the controller, and a cloud panel brings all the machines together in one place. Service sees each machine's status, its error codes and its operation history — and can check or configure it remotely.

Which devices

Monitoring

• live controller status
• 16 controller error codes, each with a description and severity

• status of the computer at the machine: processor, memory, disk, network

Remote access

• the agent connects to the panel by itself over a single outbound connection — no VPN and no ports opened on the customer's network
• opening and closing the door, clearing errors, switching the controller mode
• rotating the drum to a selected row, reading and resetting counters, report
• remote desktop, terminal and a library of ready-made scripts
• agent updates via release channels, each verified with a checksum

Low-level configuration

• DynaBox controller parameters: encoder offset, braking distance, maximum speed, electromagnet, LED brightness, warning and fault timings
• machine geometry: number of doors, columns and their widths, flap layout, divider heights
• RotoPoint: encoder programming and drum calibration

Panel

• all machines in one place, in groups
• administrator and operator roles
• a new machine waits in a waiting area until someone approves it
• interface in Polish, English and French

With SmartBox

The SmartBox kiosk controls the hardware through the SmartConf agent: open commands, status, fault reports. When the machine is being serviced, the kiosk switches to service mode.

What it doesn’t do

SmartConf does not handle issuing — who took what and when is recorded by SmartBox. SmartConf is responsible for keeping the machine running. Faults are visible in the panel and in service tickets; the module does not currently send e-mail or SMS notifications.
