SmartSync

Your software doesn't run in the cloud? Now it does

Many machines run on software installed at the machine and on a local SQL database. The data is there, but only there: to check stock levels or issue history, someone has to walk up to the computer at the machine. SmartSync synchronises that database with the cloud. The machine keeps working as before, and its data is available beyond the shop floor.

When it makes sense

  • you have machines that work and do not want to replace them just to get your data into the cloud;
  • each machine has its own software and its own database, and reports have to be put together by hand;
  • the data is used by purchasing, OHS or the shift manager, who are not standing at the machine.

What it doesn’t do

SmartSync does not control the machine and does not replace the software that runs it. It moves data between the local database and the cloud. Device control and service are handled by SmartConf.
